Good morning Principal, teachers and fellow schoolmates.

I am Chu Tsun Kit from 3D.

Do you like doing exercise? For me, I love doing sport very much, since doing exercise benefits us.  Today I would like to share the advantages of doing exercise with you.

First and foremost, doing physical exercise is conducive to good health. Nowadays, many students in our school suffer from busy lives and seem to overlook the importance of doing sport. Hardly can we resist diseases without exercising regularly ! While we are doing exercise, our breathing rate becomes faster. This can facilitate our blood circulation and thus enhance the rate of metabolism in our body. The vital capacity of lungs can be enlarged by doing exercise regularly. Furthermore, ample exercise can help us lower the risk of developing heart diseases, according to medical researches. Not only can we enhance our heart and lung functions, but we can also tone our muscles. As time goes by, our limbs will be stronger. Needless to say, doing sports regularly can help us stay healthy.

What’s more, doing exercise regularly can also help us release pressure. In this day and age, many of us are under great pressure due to the exam-oriented education system and tons of homework. It is not uncommon to see many students pick up textbooks and notebooks when they are having lunch. One of the effective ways for us to relax ourselves is doing sport. After we have exercised for thirty minutes, the excess stress hormones will be consumed. After doing exercise, we will feel more relaxed and comfortable since our brain will release endorphin, which can stabilize negative emotions and make us cheerful. Our spirits can be rejuvenated and our working efficiency can also be boosted. Without doubt, doing exercise can alleviate our stress.

To conclude, regular exercise is indispensable in our lives. I am sure that none of us wants to be unhealthy. As a matter of fact, there is no shortcut to staying hale and hearty. No matter how busy we are, we should still squeeze some time to do sport every day. Only if we are physically strong, can we work better or even actualize our dreams. Start to cultivate a habit of doing exercise. It is high time for us to do exercise with our classmates after school. Let’s lead a healthy and fruitful life together!
